The Swarovski 2017 Shooting Star Ornament (5287009)

Hello Crystal Enthusiasts!

Today, I’m thrilled to share my latest addition—the Swarovski 2017 Shooting Star Ornament (Article 5287009). In my 37 years on this planet, I think I’ve only seen maybe two actual shooting stars. Maybe I need to spend more time outside... or maybe it’s all the light pollution blocking my view? Yeah, let’s go with that!

This ornament was interesting in its own way. Before unboxing it, I had just opened the 30th Anniversary Ornament, which also features the Aurora Borealis (AB) coating. At first, I expected the same effect, but something about this one looked different. The coating was identical, yet the Shooting Star Ornament reflected more golden hues, no matter what background I placed behind it. Granted, I filmed this unboxing at night instead of during the day, so I wonder if the lack of natural light played a role in its appearance.

What Are the Details?

A Celestial Beauty That Captures the Magic of the Holidays

The Swarovski 2017 Shooting Star Ornament is a dazzling representation of a shooting star, a symbol of wonder, hope, and the magic of the holiday season. This ornament immediately caught my eye with its unique shape and shimmering Aurora Borealis (AB) coating.

As I tilted the ornament under the light, it reflected a mesmerizing array of colors, shifting from cool blues and purples to warm golden hues.

The elongated, asymmetrical shape of this shooting star gives it a sense of movement, making it appear as if it’s streaking across the sky. Hanging from a soft white satin ribbon, it looks stunning whether it’s displayed on a Christmas tree, in a window, or even as part of a year-round crystal collection.

Final Thoughts

Unboxing the Swarovski 2017 Shooting Star Ornament was a truly magical experience. From its shimmering AB coating to its unique celestial design, this piece is a showstopper. Whether you’re a seasoned Swarovski collector or simply looking for a dazzling ornament to elevate your holiday décor, this star is sure to bring sparkle and joy for years to come.

If you already own this beauty, consider yourself lucky! If not, I highly recommend keeping an eye out for it while it’s still available. Swarovski ornaments tend to sell out quickly, and once they’re retired, they can be difficult (and expensive) to track down.

What do you think of the Shooting Star Ornament? Let me know in the comments! And if you have any suggestions for which ornament I should unbox next, I’d love to hear them.

Until next time—happy collecting!
