Today, I’m thrilled to share my latest addition—the Swarovski 2017 Shooting Star Ornament (Article 5287009). In my 37 years on this planet, I think I’ve only seen maybe two actual shooting stars. Maybe I need to spend more time outside... or maybe it’s all the light pollution blocking my view? Yeah, let’s go with that!

This ornament was interesting in its own way. Before unboxing it, I had just opened the 30th Anniversary Ornament, which also features the Aurora Borealis (AB) coating. At first, I expected the same effect, but something about this one looked different. The coating was identical, yet the Shooting Star Ornament reflected more golden hues, no matter what background I placed behind it. Granted, I filmed this unboxing at night instead of during the day, so I wonder if the lack of natural light played a role in its appearance.
